Since the launch of de Poel in 2001, CEO Matthew Sanders has always believed in his companies giving back and supporting charitable causes. Over the years the Brookfield Rose group has donated, supported and been involved in countless charitable activities across the country. The Brookfield Rose Trust was set up to support young people and provide them with the opportunity to learn new skills, with the aim to help them realise their potential. The trust supports the work of The Outward Bound Trust, Action for Children and Prince’s Trust.
The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that uses the outdoors to help develop young people from all walks of life. The trust runs adventurous and challenging outdoor learning programmes that equip young people with valuable skills for education, work and life. They help them become more confident, more effective and more capable at school, college and in the workplace.
Each year The Brookfield Rose Trust will donate 70% of the money raised to the work of The Outward Bound Trust.
Action for Children is one of the UKs largest children's charities and speaks out for the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and neglected children and young people. Working directly with over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers, Action for Children runs around 650 services across the UK.
Each year The Brookfield Rose Trust will donate 20% of the money raised to the work of Action for Children.
The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives, supporting 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed, struggling at school or at risk of exclusion. The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work.
Each year The Brookfield Rose Trust will donate 10% of the money raised to other charitable causes including the work of The Prince’s Trust.
Every company within The Brookfield Rose group will donate a percentage of its annual profit, to support the above charities.
In addition to supporting the above charities, The Brookfield Rose group actively encourages all employees to take part in volunteering days. Staff can choose initiatives they wish to support and commit to at least one volunteering day every year to help benefit a worthwhile cause.
